In January 2020, Somayeh Gholami conducted a workshop at Liquidambar in Coimbra, Portugal, introducing participants to the beauty of the Persian alphabet. The workshop focused on teaching the fundamentals of Nastaliq calligraphy, a classical Persian script known for its elegant, flowing forms. Participants explored the artistic and cultural aspects of Persian writing, learning how to transform individual letters into expressive calligraphic compositions.
This workshop offered a hands-on experience in traditional Persian calligraphy, fostering appreciation for Iran’s rich literary and visual heritage while inspiring creativity through the timeless art of Nastaliq.
