Description: Two My Worlds is a contemporary calligraphy painting that brings together two important visual languages: calligraphy and mathematics.
The background is covered by a vibrant red surface filled with numerous words and letters written in Kufic style. The accumulation of calligraphic forms creates a dense and energetic field in which individual words become part of a larger abstract composition. At the centre, a strong black circle interrupts the red field, creating a visual point of concentration and balance.
Over this calligraphic background, mathematical expressions appear in white, accompanied by drawn lines that recall the visual language of a school blackboard and the experience of learning mathematics in the classroom. The white mathematical notation contrasts with the dense Kufic writing underneath, creating a dialogue between two different systems of knowledge and expression.
The title, Two My Worlds, refers to the coexistence of these two disciplines in my practice: mathematics and calligraphy. One is based on numbers, equations, logic, and structure; the other on letters, rhythm, proportion, and visual form. In the painting, they overlap rather than remain separate, reflecting how these two worlds can exist within the same artistic identity.
The work combines Kufic calligraphy, Persian and Arabic letterforms, mathematical notation, abstraction, and personal memory to create a visual dialogue between art, mathematics, education, and identity.
