In this exhibition, Samayeh abandons the seductive charm of traditional Kufi calligraphy and transforms mere letters and words into an abstract language to create her own world.
The manifestation of each person’s personality is based on a combination of genes and life experiences. As the basic blueprint of our existence, our genetic makeup shapes our physical and behavioral characteristics and imprints upon us a unique identity that is all our own.
She intends to reflect the unique nature of different people by combining a set of letters that have diverse structures. These structures present each person with their own set of options and limitations.
