In Echoes of Silence, I explore the visual power of Kufic calligraphy through a modern lens. Known for its bold geometry, Kufic merges round forms with long vertical and horizontal lines, offering a unique graphic rhythm.
By integrating this ancient style with the fluidity of connected Arabic letters, I move beyond legibility into pure form and abstraction. These works are not meant to be read, but to be felt. They invite the viewer to look, pause, and lose themselves in the silence between the letters—a space where history, spirituality, and contemporary expression meet.
This exhibition emerges from my own journey between cultures, between languages, between times. It is an attempt to listen to the silence of form and to share a memory that, though ancient, still pulses in the present. Each line is a bridge between what I am and what I’ve inherited — and it is with emotion that I now share it, here, in Silves.
